PaulRulkensSmallHow do the best get better? Companies like KPMG, ExxonMobil, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson and Canon continue to work with Paul Rulkens to raise the bar and quickly bring results to the next level.

Paul knows that doing more is no longer the default answer to too much to do. He is an expert in high performance: the art and science of accelerating bold executive outcomes with the least amount of effort. He is an award-winning professional speaker, author and a trusted boardroom advisor who has helped thousands of business owners, professionals and executives get everything they can out of everything they have. His ideas to improve results and accelerate careers are often described as thought-provoking and counter-intuitive, yet highly effective.

You do not have to be sick in order to get better. As an international keynote speaker, Paul annually addresses dozens of successful international audiences about essential mindsets and proven strategies to reap exponential improvements. His most popular topics cover the secrets of consistent execution, easy innovation, powerful leadership, growth focus and seamless teamwork.

Originally trained as a chemical engineer, Paul’s work is based on deep knowledge and extensive experience in the practical business applications of behavioral psychology, neuroscience and, especially, common sense. As a corporate leader he has worked more than 20 years on the frontline of global business. This makes him both a scholar and a strategist and provides his clients with a unique mix of scientific insights and proven, pragmatic help. His popular TED talks are used frequently in professional training sessions all over the world.

His clients call his keynotes both substantive and hilarious. The reason may be that Paul once was trained as a standup comedian, receiving critical acclaim for his Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonation. However, the miserable failure of his ensuing pumping iron muscle development project prevented him from pursuing his true calling in life: a career as a credible Arnold Schwarzenegger body double….

Why we do what we do

Some decades ago, while studying race horse performance, a group of scientists stumbled upon a fascinating discovery: in the long run, the number 1 race horse earned up to ten times more in prize money than the number 2 race horse. However, the number one race horse was less than 3 percent faster than number two. They called this strange phenomenon the razor’s edge, a small, yet consistent advantage, which can result in a massive, exponential positive effect on performance and success.

What we know now is that the razor’s edge is not limited to horse racing, but is equally valid for modern businesses and professionals.

Here is a little truth: wildly successful people do not know much more than others. They also do not necessarily work longer hours than others. They only do a few things slightly different, with a few small advantages in certain key areas, which are systematically, consistently and relentlessly leveraged. They have a razor’s edge that carves a significant chasm between a business that prospers beyond imagination and a business that struggles to survive.

We are fascinated, drawn to and constantly looking for the razor’s edge. We have turned this obsession into our business. We are therefore dedicated to help successful businesses, corporate executives and independent professionals to thrive by engineering their own razor’s edge: to become Preeminent and stand out in their field of business or their profession like a tall giraffe, surrounded by tiny field mice. This makes us experts in achieving business and professional success in the easiest, fastest and most elegant way possible.

If you are committed to become part of and stay in the top of your business or professional field, then working with us will give you something which has been experienced by many of our clients: an almost unfair advantage.

How we work

Here are 7 things you need to know about how we work:

1. We are polite, professional, yet firm. Since we are dedicated to create dramatic outcomes for you, we may therefore not always tell you what you want to hear. Instead, we will respectfully, honestly and truthfully tell you what you need to hear.

2. Our high-end consultancy work is limited exclusively to existing clients and new clients who are referred to us. This means that we can only accept new clients who are either introduced to us by one of our existing clients, or have attended one of our speaking or training events. This ensures that our time and energy remains focused on creating maximum value for our existing clients and at the same time allows new clients to benefit most from our work.

3. Only those very serious about business success, willing to use unusual, counter intuitive and exceptionally effective growth strategies, and those really ready to change should contact us for our coaching and consulting work.

4. In many cases, we will recommend books, courses, tools and other experts that best address your questions and needs. Individual consultation and coaching with us will require substantial investment.

5. Since our recommendations often require the freedom, courage and determination to take quick, massive and decisive action, we can only provide individual coaching and personal consultancy to owners of professional service businesses, senior executives and independent professionals.

6. Do not be disappointed or frustrated by our refusal to give free consultation. Our experience is that free consultation is rarely acted upon and is therefore never a bargain for the recipient, nor the best use of our mutual time.

7. We grow our business exclusively through referrals by delighted clients. Once you become our client, we will therefore do whatever it takes to make sure you can’t resist telling others about us. This means that we will go out of our way to preserve our relationship, provide massive value and make you and your business or professional practice look great in the eyes of all the people who are important to you.
